Sadly ,we must say goodbye to our Historian, Ranson Lege who passed away December, 2017. Ranson was one of the founding members of the Richlieu Leger Family Association in 2000. His contributions to the Association and its members are countless. He was instrumental in building our Genealogy Database. He spent an enormous amount of time seeking the history of our Family as well as Acadian history in general. His research spanned records in France and Nova Scotia, which were in French. He translated all these French records into English, and made both versions available to us. Ranson also did extensive research in Louisiana, providing us with a glimpse into the lives of our Ancestors. All this information was provided to the Association members as periodical Newletter Addendums through the years. These Addendums have been compiled into a three hundred page history book, “Le Gardien” which is available and enjoyed by many members. Words cannot express how Ranson has been, and will always be appreciated. Thank You Ranson and Bon Voyage.
